Precious Sunlight

The sun rises lazily here. It crests the horizon at approximately 10:24 AM. But because of our beautiful mountain location, the sun does not peak above Round Mountain and shine into our front window until 11:30 AM. It then slowly travels across a small gap between Round Mountain and Portal Ridge. It then creeps back behind Puntilla Mountain at about 12:30 PM. That gives us only one hour each day of direct sunshine. That is the magic hour. Then it is back to dim twilight until 3:30 PM when the sun goes to bed.
