Everyday is something new. The way the sun hits the mountains, how the clouds skirt across the sky or the color of the snow in the moonlight changes minute by minute and hour by hour. I have learned quickly to grab my camera the minute I see something special because tomorrow it will look different. Not better or worse, just different.
I guess that goes for life too, the only thing we can be sure of is that things will change. Not for better or worse, just different. That is sometimes a difficult thing to accept, that nothing stays the same. But here at Rainy Pass it is easier to let changes wash over you with out too much resistance. After all whether the plane comes or not, if it snows or not, if the generator starts or not, there is always hot coffee, a cozy wood stove and a new adventure to experience.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Lao Tzu
