The cure to winter blues

Fresh Produce

Fresh Produce

Another plane arrived this morning. We said good bye to Buckey for the month of January and unloaded our bounty. On the plane, there was lots of horse feed and a mineral lick (which I am sure they will love but fight over) and lots more Christmas presents for us. This included beer, wine, soda, movies and puzzles to while away the hours. As well as this lovely bowl of fresh produce. Tonight we will feast on fresh kale and beet greens and eggplant. We will enjoy the freshness and bounty of summer in the stark mountains of Alaska in December. Not exactly local but I can tell you, kale never tasted as good as it does after two weeks of meat and potatoes.
