The first of our major races started yesterday, the Iron Dog Snowmobile race. It is the longest (over 2,000 miles) and toughest snowmobile race in the world. There are two classes and the first of the Trail Class riders made it to Rainy Pass Last night. Most stayed the night before heading out early this morning. These are the guys (and two gals) who are having fun, relaxing and enjoying their 1,000 mile ride through some of Alaska’s most beautiful terrain. Tomorrow the Pro Class riders will speed by and they are the ones racing for the glory of being the toughest and fastest snomachiner in the world.
