The horses are feeling their oats these days. Each afternoon/evening after a hearty breakfast of grain and hay in the corral they take a short nap in the sunshine. They then file out of the corral and make their way out on to the lake to browse on the now exposed alder and willow bushes along the lake edges. Most of them take their time and calmly walk to the otherside. But a few of the young ones like to pretend they are thoroughbreds racing on the track and gallop across the lake at full speed. Skookum usually wins, but Squeaky and Jewels give him a run for his money.
