Anchorage is not a bad city to readjust to society in. It feels small and friendly despite its large size. You can see mountains all around you and moose regularly wander through neighborhoods. I have already taken advantage of some town luxuries including pizza, beer on tap, socializing with lots of different company, and driving in heated cars instead of on snowmobiles. Despite these and other benefits of civilization, I already miss the simplicity of life at Rainy Pass Lodge.
