Darkness has reclaimed the night. The days already feel short and with each night the darkness extends further and further into our day. Everyday we lose 7 whole minutes of sunlight, every 10 days more than an hour of daylight is gone.
Some of us here welcome the change. We savor the slow pace of winter, those long days of tea, knitting and fire side reading. But for me, the brisk winds of autumn and the dark nights mean it will soon be time to head back to the lower 48, back to Maine and to my other life.
